A strongly typed programming language that compiles to Siri Shortcuts

Strongly typed

Catch type errors during compilation. The type system supports Text, Number, Boolean, List, Dictionary, optional, and quantity values.

Functions

Define functions with typed parameters, return values, and default arguments. Chute compiles each call to a Run Shortcut action that targets the current shortcut.

Pipeline operator

Use |> and |>? to pass a value through a sequence of calls. Add arguments directly or use _ as a placeholder.

Familiar syntax

Chute uses const and let bindings, if and else branches, for and in loops, enums, and records.
